Job summary

Yale University in New Haven, CT seeks an Associate Director of Operations FP&A to lead budgeting, forecasting, and multi-unit financial planning. You will oversee long-range plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts, while guiding senior leadership with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of budgeting and planning principles and processes.
Strong oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office; BI tools a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manages all aspects of designated budget and financial management services portfolios.
Executes major strategic financial planning and analysis projects with cross-department teams.
Maintains deep knowledge of Yale finance and budgeting processes and policies.
Refines budget processes to improve speed and quality.
Oversees development and monitoring of detailed budgets and reporting.
Creates long-range financial plans and analyzes operating/capital budgets.
Leads complex data analyses and communicates trends to leadership.
Manages financial analyst staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
