Job summary

Progress Software in Burlington, MA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The role partners with IT, Workplace Ops, and the Office of the Chief AI Officer to manage OPEX and CAPEX forecasts, reconcile expenses, and support monthly close with GAAP-compliant journal entries.

You will deliver reporting, variance analyses, and ad hoc analyses for senior leadership, using Excel and PowerPoint to present insights; a hybrid work arrangement blends home office and our Burlington headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years in accounting/FP&A or related field.
• Experience with accrual accounting and posting journal entries, reconciling expenses, month-end close.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to build repeatable processes and present data.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IT, Workplace Ops, and the Office of the Chief AI Officer to align spending with business priorities.
• Own OPEX and CAPEX forecasts; validate assumptions and update plans as needed.
• Reconcile actual expenses and post journal entries for monthly close; coordinate with Accounting.
