Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Supply Chain Optimization Manager for a prominent FMCG client. The role blends strategic analysis with hands-on optimization across logistics, inventory, and planning in a hybrid work setup, requiring collaboration with multiple departments and external 3PLs.

Applicants should have 6+ years in supply chain optimization within FMCG, strong negotiation skills, experience with SAP/Oracle, and a track record of leading teams toward cost efficiencies and improved service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, logistics, operations, or engineering.
• 6+ years in supply chain with optimization focus in FMCG.
• Experience in inventory management, demand planning, and transport.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas in logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve on-time delivery.
• Negotiate with 3PLs to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
• Use advanced planning tools to improve demand forecasting accuracy and production scheduling.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and sales to align supply chain activities.
• Monitor KPIs and develop reports to track performance and trends.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices to ensure compliance and sustainability.
