Job summary

Hinshaw & Culbertson seeks a mid to senior-level litigation Associate and/or Senior Counsel for its New Jersey office Consumer Financial Services practice. The role focuses on strategy, litigation, and resolution of disputes involving defaulted commercial loans for lenders.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to the NJ Bar in good standing (NY and/or PA admissions in good standing are pluses).
• Experience in financial services and contested foreclosure litigation required.
• Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy matters preferred.
• Ability to analyze loan-level documentation, draft pleadings and motions, and handle court appearances.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and supervising attorneys to develop strategy and litigate disputes involving defaulted commercial loans.
• Litigate and resolve disputes for traditional and non-traditional lenders.
• Attend court appearances and draft dispositive motions and workout resolution agreements.
