Franklin County Auditor’s Office is seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join the Financial Reporting team in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on ledger maintenance and the preparation of detailed financial reports for internal stakeholders and external compliance.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, at least two years of related accounting experience, and a valid Ohio driver’s license. The position is full-time with a comprehensive benefits package.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university.
• Two or more years of related accounting experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare various reports (e.g., payroll and treasury journal entries, daily cash reports, and monthly cash balance analyses).
• Prepare annual reports and ACFR work papers, adjustments, and note disclosures.
• Monitor capital assets and coordinate inventories; conduct asset tagging and physical inspections as needed.
• Respond to agency information requests with analysis and customized reports.
• Maintain records for journal entries, capital assets, and record retention guidelines; assist in payroll and accounts payable tasks.
