You will work with a Public Affairs reporter in the field, traveling frequently, including overnights and weekends, and participate in a dual-union environment with IBEW and NABET.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Media Arts, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of live broadcast journalism experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar editing systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel within Minnesota and surrounding areas; occasional travel outside the state.

Responsibilities

• Video production: capture compelling news, sports, and feature stories for broadcast, mobile, and social media.
• Post production: edit video/audio, manage media flow, adjust settings, and deliver final cuts.
• Equipment support: maintain gear, manage field setups, and coordinate with maintenance.
• Other duties: train staff, stay current with television tech and storytelling techniques.
