Job summary

Delcid Erosion Control, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for erosion control, landscaping, and horizontal/site development projects.

You will review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, solicit supplier and subcontractor pricing, and coordinate with leadership, project managers, and clients to support successful bidding and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years estimating experience in erosion control, site development, landscaping, heavy civil, or general contracting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST, HeavyBid, Procore, Sage Estimating, or TraceAir.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Develop competitive bids for commercial, residential, municipal, and government projects.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions.
• Track bid opportunities, bid calendars, and estimating documentation.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and project teams to clarify scope and pricing.
• Support project turnover by reviewing estimate assumptions with Project Managers and Director of Field Operations.
• Maintain historical cost data, unit pricing, and material pricing databases.
• Occasionally travel to project sites and pre-bid meetings.
