Job summary

Cochise College in Cochise County seeks an Adult Education Instructor to deliver ESOL, ABE, and High School Equivalency instruction. You will manage attendance, assessments, records, and collaborate with colleagues across the program, using blended and online delivery as needed.

You will contribute to curriculum development, participate in scheduling and committees, and support student success with confidentiality and dedication to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an institution accredited by an institutional accrediting body recognised by the US Department of Education.
• Valid Arizona Adult Education teaching certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related discipline preferred.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches ESOL, ABE, and/or other approved courses and maintains instructional records.
• Monitors student attendance and communicates performance issues with students for resolution.
• Develops and implements lesson plans with pre- and post-assessments.
• Participates in course scheduling, department and college meetings, and program improvement efforts.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to program guidelines.
