Headwater Science is a data science and methods company focused on reproducible evidence generation for clinical and regulatory challenges. The Epidemiologist will collaborate with epidemiologists, statisticians, and software developers to design studies using insurance claims and EHR data.

You will engage in pharmacoepidemiology, advanced statistical methods, and scientific communication, while contributing to real‑world evidence projects and scholarly outputs in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in epidemiology or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of research experience designing and publishing scientific work.
• Experience with quantitative research methods and statistics.
• Familiarity with manuscript submission to peer‑reviewed journals.
• Strong epidemiological methods foundation and planning skills.
• Organizational skills in fast‑paced settings, initiative, and communication.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support senior colleagues in designing and managing epidemiologic studies using real‑world data.
• Conduct literature reviews on diagnosis, treatment, and clinical outcomes.
• Contribute to conference abstracts, posters, talks, and manuscripts.
• Plan and conduct standard and advanced epidemiologic analyses with guidance.
• Help develop study protocols and analysis plans for observational studies.
• Support submission of peer‑reviewed publications to journals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
