Job summary

State of Michigan seeks an Environmental Quality Analyst 12 to drive the Voluntary Wetland Restoration program within the Water Resources Division. The role involves policy interpretation, training material development, and outreach design, along with conducting inspections and providing technical guidance to restoration practitioners.

The position also represents WRD in interagency collaborations and co-chairs the VWR Subcommittee, with a hybrid work option in Lansing, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as listed in Education, or 30 credits in related sciences as listed.
• Three years of professional experience equivalent to Environmental Quality Analyst, including one year at P11 level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the resource for the VWR Program within WRD.
• Interpret policies and procedures and develop training materials; host trainings and design guidance/outreach materials.
• Perform site and compliance inspections; interact with agencies and provide technical guidance.
• Represent WRD and co-chair the VWR Subcommittee of the Wetland Working Group; support WRD staff and the public on wetland restoration best practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, engineering, environmental studies and sustainability, physical sciences, resource development, or resource management

Bachelor's degree with 30 credits in related sciences (biochemistry, biology, botany, chemistry, ecology, ecology, etc.)
