Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer to support growth in our environmental management and compliance practice in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area. You will conduct assignments in an office or work-from-home setting with regular site visits and prepare technical reports, compliance documents, and engineering designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of related work experience in consulting.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus.
• Competent in MS Office and engineering software.
• Ability to read and understand engineering plans and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support clients in evaluating and maintaining compliance with environmental laws, permits, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage environmental permitting and regulatory planning activities, including permit applications and agency submittals.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate potential impacts to clients.
• Prepare environmental compliance reports, regulatory submittals, and supporting documentation.
• Plan and oversee emissions testing and monitoring activities, including stack testing.
• Support environmental audits and inspections with corrective actions.
• Conduct periodic site visits and fieldwork for data collection and inspections.
• Assist with design and permitting of solid waste and electric utility facilities.
• Prepare calculations for reports and design documents.
• Review technical documents for completeness and conformance to requirements.
• Coordinate field work with clients and provide project updates.
