Job summary

SCS Engineers in Green Bay/Fox Valley area is hiring a Civil or Environmental Engineer to support growth in solid waste, electric utility, and environmental compliance projects. The role involves office or work-from-home settings with regular site visits and some longer-term field work, supporting projects with Project Managers and Engineers across multiple disciplines.

You will assist in preparing technical reports, compliance documents, and engineering designs, and you will have opportunities

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 2 years of related work experience required.
• Professional Engineer track (ability to obtain after 5 years of experience) is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office and other common engineering software.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety protocols.
• Conduct site visits and environmental monitoring.
• Perform CAD drafting (AutoCAD and Civil3D).
• Assist with design and permitting of solid waste and electric utility facilities.
• Prepare permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

• Communicate with clients for field work coordination and project updates.
• Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations.

What we are looking for

We are looking to hire a Civil or Environmental Engineer to support growth in our solid waste, electric utility, and environmental compliance work in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area. You will conduct assignments in an office or work-from-home setting, with regular site visits and occasional longer-term field work; assist in preparing technical reports, compliance documents, and engineering designs. You will work with Project Managers and Engineers across a variety of solid waste, electric utility, and environmental management projects. How you can make an impact

Your responsibilities will include:

• Following SCS health and safety protocols.
• Conducting site visits and performing environmental monitoring.
• Performing CAD drafting (AutoCAD and Civil3D).
• Assisting with design and permitting of solid waste and electric utility facilities.
• Preparing permit applications and performing regulatory agency coordination.
• Preparing calculations for reports and in support of design documents.
• Reviewing technical documents to ensure completeness and conformance to requirements.
• Communicating with clients for field work coordination, project updates, reporting, design document status, permitting status, and meetings.
• Conducting and documenting construction quality assurance observations for compliance with construction documents.
• Preparing proposals and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering field from an accredited institution required. Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred.
• 2 years of related work experience required. Experience in the consulting industry, including environmental compliance and solid waste preferred, but not required.
• Professional Engineer track (ability to obtain after 5 years of experience), a plus.
• Competent using MS Office and other computer software normally used in engineering consulting.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D design software preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering plans and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing are required.

Pay Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
