The State of Connecticut Department of Housing in Hartford, CT seeks an Environmental Analyst 1 to review housing development applications and related plans. This full-time, hybrid position requires analyzing environmental program data and supporting policy development within a cohesive unit.

Ideal candidates will have five years of technical environmental experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in GIS and data management.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience involving technical analysis and interpretation of environmental program data.
• College training in a scientific or technical discipline related to the environmental field may substitute for the General Experience (15 sem hrs = 0.5 year, up to 4 years for a Bachelor’s).
• Master’s degree may substitute for five years of General Experience; education may substitute for up to five years.

Responsabilités

• Review housing development applications and related plans.
• Analyze environmental data and prepare recommendations.
• Assist in preparing regulatory guidelines and environmental impact statements.
• Coordinate data management and dissemination of information.
• Collaborate with local, state, and federal officials as needed.
• Assist in developing enforcement actions and reports.
