Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. This role supports planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project performance to help projects stay on schedule and within budget.

You will work under supervision on basic complexity projects, develop time-phased forecasts, monitor cost and schedule, and prepare routine financial reports. Domestic and international travel may be required (about 10% or less) as part of client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables; prepares routine status reports.
• Gathers project progress information from project manager and team members to update basic schedule data.
• Performs Earned Value Management and basic financial analyses.
• Uses document management protocols to store and retrieve project documentation.
