Job summary

DLR Group is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our integrated design teams in a hybrid work environment across Dallas, Houston, or Fort Worth, TX. You will participate in designing mechanical building systems from schematics through construction administration and prepare detailed drawings and calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree ABET-accredited in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Internship/co-op experience or full-time position with a consulting engineering or A/E firm preferred.
• Experience with BIM (Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow preferred.
• Interest in sustainable building design.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop mechanical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate mechanical design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.
