Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to translate technology strategy into enterprise architecture and standards. This internal-facing role is hands-on, chairing architecture reviews, guiding DevOps, and enabling cross-team collaboration with the VP of Technology.

You will shape target-state architecture, define patterns for security, data, and integration, and ensure architectural decisions endure through time. Hybrid in-office work emphasized.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software/systems engineering or architecture accountable across multiple systems.
• Proven ownership of a target-state architecture at organizational scale.
• Strong integration experience: API design and interface contracts.
• Experience defining and rolling out engineering standards across teams.
• CI/CD, release practice, and change management ownership.
• Cloud production experience, preferably Azure.
• Hands-on software development experience.
• Clear technical writing and ability to explain tradeoffs to executives.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target-state architecture across infrastructure, applications, data, and integration.
• Set and govern engineering standards across three engineering families.
• Own the release pipeline, change management, and deployment practices.
• Coordinate sequencing and capacity planning across projects to mitigate risk.
• Provide hands-on architectural work and prototypes to prove patterns.
• Document architecture decisions for future engineering teams.
