Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem seeks an Enterprise Security Architect to design and oversee security architectures across applications and infrastructure. You will partner with IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, engineering teams and clinical staff to align security with clinical and business goals, balancing cost, risk, and performance.

Applicants should have extensive security experience, healthcare exposure, and strong communication skills to influence leadership and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline or equivalent work history with security certifications
• Two or more expert-level security Certifications
• Nine years in advanced IT security engineering with leadership in security initiatives
• Four years in security architect roles
• Two years in security project delivery (contracting, design, implementation)
• Experience developing enterprise cybersecurity strategy
• Mentoring or developing junior team members

Responsibilities

• Develops complex enterprise security architecture strategies; align security engineering with business objectives
• Contributes to IT and security roadmaps and future state architecture
• Communicates security trends and threats to operational partners and business leaders
• Participates in On-Call rotation and other duties as assigned
