Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, administer, and support the enterprise network and voice infrastructure in a hybrid Daytona Beach role. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in infrastructure projects while collaborating across IT teams to ensure high availability and secure networking architecture.

Preferred certifications include CCNP or Aruba ACSP, with a strong foundation in routing, switching, wireless,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years' experience designing, operating, troubleshooting and administering enterprise Cisco/Aruba networks.
Demonstrated proficiency configuring Cisco/Aruba infrastructure and network gear.
Strong knowledge of Layer 2 technologies (STP, 802.1Q, LACP) and routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
Experience with network monitoring/telemetry (SNMP, NetFlow, sFlow) and IP services (DHCP, DNS).
Experience supporting VoIP and Avaya IP telephony; cloud networking concepts (Azure, AWS, GCP) a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve critical network issues while keeping management informed of outages.
Design, implement, and support large-scale LAN/WAN and campus voice networks.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper configuration, documentation, and governance.
Assist with planning and executing infrastructure projects and migrations across campus data centers.
