Job summary

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an IT Architect (NS) to define enterprise architecture principles, lead cross-functional IT programs, and ensure compliance with standards. The role supports current and future IT operations under state regulations and DHHS policies.

The position is hybrid with onsite reporting in Raleigh, NC, and carries a substantial salary range. A bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or business with relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Documented knowledge reviewing, guiding, and supporting enterprise-wide IT projects and IT procurements governed by enterprise architecture.
• Documented skill in establishing and upholding state-wide enterprise architecture principles, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, interoperability, security, and optimization.
• Develop/Implement Enterprise Standards, Framework, Cloud Strategy, Cloud Governance/Principles Framework.

Responsibilities

• Define EA principles, policies, and standards for NC DHHS IT operations.
• Lead integration of EA principles with business and IT processes.
• Provide direction for architecture domains and compliance with regulations and models.
• Evolve the organization’s architecture frameworks across business, data, technology, and security.
