Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a technically skilled sourcing professional for a 6+ month contract in Indiana. The role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days on site, 2 days remote) with a pay range of $40–$45 per hour.

Responsibilities include purchasing machinery and parts, supplier selection, negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to bring new products to market. Bachelor’s degree and engineering background required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Technical sourcing professional with an engineering background and experience supporting new product development in manufacturing is required.
• Experience in supplier selection, commercial negotiations, cost management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to bring new products to market.
• Direct experience sourcing components and suppliers for new product development, from design through launch.
• Ability to work closely with Product Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, and suppliers on technical requirements and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Purchase machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies or services necessary for the operation of an establishment.
• Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
• Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
• Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
