Job summary

Southern California Edison in Rosemead, CA is seeking an Energy Operations Advisor to support settlement of power purchase agreements, analyze large data sets, and ensure accurate payments across a diverse contract portfolio. You will use Endur and other tools, collaborate with Contract Managers, and contribute to regulatory filings and process automation.

This hybrid role emphasizes data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in contract settlements, contract management, or electricity trading/marketing.
• Knowledge of CAISO market operations and settlement charges.
• Experience with Endur, SettleCore, or similar platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret complex contract terms such as power purchase agreements.
• Experience identifying process improvements and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and automation options.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for regulatory filings.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support to ensure contract compliance and regulatory filings.
• Support settlement of power purchase agreements and dispute resolution.
• Establish streamlined communication with Sales and external customers.
• Calculate settlement charges for CAISO across a portfolio of assets.
• Analyze forecasting errors and propose bidding strategies.
• Oversee transaction system administration and payment-related apps.
• Improve settlements processes by designing performance metrics.
• Ensure accurate, timely payments across a diverse contract portfolio.
• Protect sensitive data and uphold cybersecurity standards.
