Job summary

Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is seeking a Policy Analyst to support BPC’s Energy Program in Washington, DC. You will analyze energy policy issues, draft reports, and engage with stakeholders and policymakers to advance pragmatic, durable policies.

The role blends policy development with advocacy, requiring strong writing, research, and collaboration across teams. The position offers a hybrid schedule and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Strong policy background with knowledge of the energy and climate policy landscape.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years of experience, preferably in policy, analysis or business; or Master’s degree with 0 to 2 years of experience.
• Excellent quantitative and research skills.
• Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
• Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with overlapping deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with thoroughness and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on energy issues.
• Draft major written work products: articles, white papers, reports, briefs, and fact sheets.
• Engage with stakeholders and policy officials.
• Collaborate with events and program staff to organize convenings.
• Support communications and digital outreach materials.
