Job summary

Blue Mountain Operations seeks an Automation and Embedded System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain autonomous control solutions for powered air compressors, pumps, and power systems. The role blends embedded programming, PLC optimization, and sensor integration with remote troubleshooting for field deployments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare technical documentation, and support field commissioning while based in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems, controls, or industrial automation.
• Experience in designing, integrating, and optimizing automated systems.
• Experience with embedded software development (C/C++, IEC 61131-3 languages) and real-time control systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and produce clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program embedded control systems for solar-powered air compressors, pumps, and power management.
• Configure and optimize PLCs; implement control logic and automation sequences.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and motor drives into control systems.
• Build and maintain remote telemetry interfaces for data collection and reporting.
• Field test, diagnose, and resolve issues in remote, off-grid environments.
• Document firmware, control logic, and system architecture for regulatory reporting.
