Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Telecommunications Payload System Engineer based in the United States with Montreal on-site emphasis. You will help design, integrate, and test satellite payloads, working with cross‑functional teams to validate digital communications systems for next‑gen satellite solutions.

You will apply DSP and RF knowledge to subsystem testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization while producing clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in space systems, satellite communications, telecommunications, or a related engineering field.
• Foundational knowledge of DSP, RF systems, and telecommunications architectures.
• Experience performing or supporting satellite subsystem testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration abilities.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to obtain required security clearance.
• Preferred exposure to satellite payload development, integration, or verification; aerospace or satellite comms experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, integration, and testing of satellite telecommunications payload systems.
• Contribute to the development and validation of digital communications architectures.
• Conduct subsystem testing, technical analysis, and troubleshooting to assess performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, and integration teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Assist with requirements analysis, verification, validation, and documentation.
• Analyze test results and support ongoing payload performance optimization.
• Prepare engineering reports and technical presentations for decisions.
