Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to design and maintain detailed electrical drawings in AutoCAD for midstream oil and gas facilities. The role involves coordinating with multiple disciplines and senior engineers to ensure accurate deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electrical design experience in refinery or tank terminals, strong AutoCAD skills, and a TWIC card. Associates degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years electrical design experience in midstream oil and gas, refinery, plant, or tank terminals.
• Experience required utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley ControlLogix 1756 and Ethernet IP protocol a plus.
• TWIC card required.
• Must have good communication skills, written & verbal, work with minimal supervision, and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and complete drawings using practical design knowledge.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and assist lead engineer/designer to ensure quality product.
• Conduct field investigations when needed and produce field reports with detailed sketches.
• Keep up to date on new design processes, modeling, drafting techniques, and standards.
• Develop and recommend improvements in design standards to lower cost and improve quality.
• Investigate and resolve design and field engineering problems with new approaches or existing criteria.
