GHT Limited, a leading MEP engineering firm in the DC Metro area, seeks an electrical design engineer with a BSEE from an ABET-accredited program and 4+ years of related experience. PE license preferred.

The role focuses on electrical design for mid-sized to large building projects, including load calculations, coordination, and construction documentation. The position offers hybrid work after onboarding, opportunities for career progression, and a chance to mentor others within a collaborative

Qualifications

• BSEE from an ABET-accredited school; 4+ years in related electrical design experience.
• 8+ years of related experience and an active PE license strongly preferred.
• Experience with electrical design for mid-sized to large building projects and utility coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for building projects, including load calculations and documentation.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Assist with site surveys, equipment sizing, and updating as-builts for the electrical discipline.
• Coordinate with codes/standards (IBC, NEC, NFPA, IECC) and respond to permit/consultant comments.
• Provide training support and mentorship within the team; participate in QC of own work.
