Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America is seeking a TSF Engineer to oversee daily geotechnical operations, stability assessment, and water management across our Tailings Storage Facilities. You will work with site teams, consultants, and senior geotechnical leads to ensure safety, regulator compliance, and adherence to GISTM standards.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of geotechnical, civil, or metallurgical engineering experience.
• Hands-on tailings management and dam construction experience.
• Experience with geotechnical instrumentation data collection and stability evaluation.
• Knowledge of soil mechanics, embankment stability, and seepage modeling.
• Familiarity with GISTM and mining regulations (NDEP, MSHA).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine Dry Stack Tailings facility safety inspections and field surveillance.
• Monitor instrumentation networks and interpret data for trends.
• Coordinate daily stacking plans and water balance tracking with operations.
• Oversee dam raises, earthworks, and liner installations with CQA checks.
• Support Engineer of Record reviews and annual Dam Safety Reviews.
• Assist with Tailings ERP updates and incident reporting.
