Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a technically focused Drone Pilot to support UAS operations across construction, engineering, and facility projects in the United States. You will plan and execute commercial drone flights under FAA Part 107 guidelines, develop flight plans, process imagery, and deliver orthomosaic maps, 3D models, and BIM/coordinated deliverables within ACC and BIM workflows.

Ideal candidates will collaborate with VDC teams, manage data quality, and ensure secure, well-documented archives.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required.
• 3+ years operating commercial drones in construction/industrial settings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct commercial drone flights per FAA regulations and site procedures.
• Maintain pilot credentials, flight logs, and pre-flight checks.
• Capture high-quality imagery and reality data for BIM, GIS, and 3D models.
• Process data and deliver orthomosaics, 3D models, and site documentation.
• Support construction progress, inspections, and turnover with aerial data.
• Ensure safety and compliance with site-specific safety plans.
