Job summary

BMW Group is seeking an Intern in Drivetrain Validation for Spring 2027 to Summer 2027 in Oxnard, CA. The role supports validation of future vehicle models for the US market and assists the engineering team with testing of ICE, PHEV, and BEV powertrains across BMW brands.

The position is hybrid, with in-office days, and offers hourly pay: undergraduate $29.90, graduate $36.80, depending on academic level. Applicants must be U.S. authorized and enrolled with a 3.0+ GPA.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program.
• US work authorization is required.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 (overall).
• Completed at least 60 college credit hours by application.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Submit unofficial transcript with application.

Responsibilities

• Support validation of powertrains and vehicles for the US market.
• Assist testing and evaluation of ICE, PHEV, and BEV systems in preproduction vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles, analyze issues, and initiate tests and maintenance as needed.
