Job summary

BMW of North America invites rising engineers to join a Spring/Summer 2027 internship in Oxnard, CA. You will support validation of future vehicle models for the US market, work with powertrains across BMW brands, and help organize test events in a hands-on lab environment.

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s program, have US work authorization, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and the ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week). A transcript and prior BMW experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• US work authorization required.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA overall.
• Completed at least 60 college credit hours.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Unofficial college transcript required with application.
• Prior BMW Group experience.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle and systems validation of future BMW models for the US market.
• Assist local engineering team with testing and evaluation of powertrains (ICE, PHEV, BEV) in preproduction vehicles across BMW brands.
• Inspect test vehicles, analyze issues, and initiate emission tests, repairs and maintenance tasks.
