Job summary

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) seeks part-time Adjunct Instructors for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program on a per-semester basis in Laredo, TX. This adjunct pool serves for Fall 2028 through Spring 2030 and involves teaching across multiple DPT curriculum areas in a hybrid setting.

Minimum qualifications include a DPT or doctoral degree, an active PT license, and demonstrated teaching content expertise. Clinical experience and ABPTS certifications are preferred when applicable.

Qualifications

• An earned Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or other academic doctoral degree.
• A current, active, and unencumbered physical therapist license in any United States jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated content expertise appropriate for the assigned teaching responsibilities.
• Contemporary clinical experience and evidence of ongoing professional development are preferred.
• Board certification through ABPTS or other specialty certifications are preferred when appropriate to the assigned content area.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate immersive laboratory experiences or assist with laboratory instruction.
• Teach didactic courses in areas within the Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum.
• Coordinate course administrative duties such as grading, content loading, and meeting deadlines.
• Contribute to program quality and student assessment as needed.
