Job summary

Stanford Medicine is seeking an Assistant Director of Donor Relations to join the Medical Center Development team. In a hybrid work setting, you will manage donor engagement, narratives, and reporting while coordinating with gift officers and collaborators across Stanford Medicine.

You will design and implement comprehensive donor relations programs, ensure timely acknowledgments, and manage complex stewardship deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.
• Strong writing, editing and communication skills for donor materials.
• Experience coordinating donor relations programs and stewardship.
• Ability to work with confidential information and produce clear materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of annual reporting and donor engagement activities with project plans and timelines.
• Develop recommendations to engage donors by analyzing trends and donor profiles.
• Coordinate timely gift acknowledgments and drafting copy on behalf of university leaders.
• Collaborate with non-development colleagues to execute stewardship activities.
• Lead donor recognition projects, including walls, signage and websites.
• Audit portfolios against the development database to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with events and cross-functional donor relations coordination.
