WECTEC Staffing Services in Denver is seeking a Distribution Automation Engineer (IVVO/FLISR) to support utility distribution automation projects, improve system reliability, voltage optimization, and service restoration capabilities. This hybrid role offers on-site Tue-Thu and remote Mon-Fri, with a potential path to full-time.

You will deploy and test field devices such as capacitor bank controllers, reclosers, and protection devices, and collaborate with the Distribution Automation

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience supporting electric utility, power systems, distribution operations, or automation systems.
• Experience with Eaton Cooper Capacitor Bank Controllers, SEL Protection Devices, Distribution Automation Technologies, ADMS.
• Familiarity with distribution system modeling tools such as Synergi and CYME.

Mansioni

• Support IVVO (Integrated Volt/VAR Optimization) and FLISR (Fault Location, Isolation & Service Restoration) programs.
• Configure, program, and deploy automated field devices including capacitor bank controllers, reclosers, and protection devices.
• Perform distribution system modeling and studies to determine device settings and locations.
• Support integration and testing of field devices with Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS).
