First 5 Alameda County seeks a Director of Contracts and Procurement to lead the Agency's procurement, contracting, and contract administration functions. You will develop policies, oversee procurements, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and audit standards.

You will supervise staff, mentor teams, and collaborate with leadership to implement strategic contracting initiatives that support services for children and families in Alameda

Qualifikationen

• Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in procurement, contracting, or contract administration, public or private sector.
• Three (3) years in a supervisory/lead role; bachelor’s degree alignment required.
• Desirable: certifications such as CPPO, CPPB, NIGP-CPP, CPSM, CPCM.

• Develop and improve contracting policies, procedures, systems, templates, and tools.
• Oversee competitive procurements, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
