Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director, Project & Portfolio Management in Biosurgery. You will lead a team of Project Heads, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of BioSurgery programs.

You will partner with Regulatory, Clinical, Supply Chain, and Finance to align goals and optimize portfolio performance. The role requires 10+ years of experience in medical devices, advanced degree preferred, and a proven track record in program management, governance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or MS preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience delivering innovation programs is required.
• Project management experience for materials/biologics/clinical projects.
• Knowledge of global regulatory/clinical requirements for complex medical devices.
• Proven ability to partner and influence in a matrix environment.
• Medical device experience with Class II & III devices is required.
• Strong change leadership and management skills.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) required; JIRA or SmartSheet preferred.
• Up to 10% domestic and international travel.
• Prior people leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Project Heads supporting Biosurgery innovation programs.
• Oversee all executional aspects of Biosurgery NPD programs.
• Track, accelerate, and mitigate risks for Biosurgery programs.
• Escalate issues to VP, Biosurgery R&D and OC as needed.
• Provide input for management reviews and scenario analysis.
• Align projects with Biosurgery platform goals and strategies.
• Lead governance and cadence of leadership meetings.
• Drive team effectiveness and risk management across functions.
• Communicate with executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Lead portfolio reviews to increase visibility of critical projects.
