Job summary

Hermann Forwarding in Houston, TX seeks a Class A Diesel Mechanic & Facility Technician to support fleet maintenance and building needs at our warehouse locations. This hybrid role combines vehicle service with facilities upkeep in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair diesel trucks, perform preventive maintenance, and manage tools and inventory while ensuring safety and DOT compliance. Certification and hands-on mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Class A Diesel Mechanic Certification or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; tech training preferred.
• Experience with DOT safety standards and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Class A trucks and related systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Manage tools, parts inventory, and shop cleanliness.
• Coordinate with vendors for building and equipment needs.
