Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced clinical setting at UH/CVC/Pavilion. You will obtain patient history, explain procedures, and ensure safety per Gold Service Excellence guidelines.

The ideal candidate has graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with ARRT registration and has experience with digital imaging, PACS, and multiple GE/Siemens systems. Hybrid/remote work options may apply depending on department needs.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a school of radiologic technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology required or registry eligible with the first exam attempt within 6 months from hire/transfer; 3 attempts within 18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of and observe universal precautions and all other precautions determined by the University of Michigan Health System.
  • Use and maintain aseptic technique.
  • Respond to patients' changing physical conditions and safety concerns.
  • Effectively communicate with patients to obtain clinical information and relieve anxiety.
  • Identify and administer contrast media per department protocol.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate teamwork skills.
  • Adapt to changing environments and technology advancements.
  • Maintain current ARRT registration.
