Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking DevSecOps Research and Development Engineers to join the ARL Digital Engineering team. Positions can be based in State College, PA or Reston, VA with on-site, hybrid, or remote options depending on skillset and location.

Responsibilities include designing secure automation, managing CI/CD pipelines, and presenting technical briefings while collaborating with sponsors and team members on day-to-day project activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science required; 2+ years relevant experience for mid-level path.
• Experience with Linux-based infrastructures and Unix administration is essential.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Ansible.
• Version control with Git; containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools like Splunk, Elastic, or Prometheus.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure automation for development, test, and production environments.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to maximize efficiency.
• Improve systems via updates and optimizations across technologies.
• Present program overviews, proposals, and technical briefings.
• Coordinate with sponsors and teammates to identify risks and design solutions.
