Job summary

Intrepid Control Systems in Troy, Michigan, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to automate deployment, management, and scaling of robust, secure systems. The ideal candidate has experience with Node.js and Java development, strong Linux skills, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).

The role is hybrid, requiring three days onsite at our Troy HQ, with opportunities to influence product and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in cloud software engineering and/or operations.
Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Perl or similar).
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with GitLab/GitHub or similar version control platforms.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.

Responsibilities

Automate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure components.
Investigate and resolve incidents, working with cross-functional teams.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of infrastructure.
Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and on-prem/virtual stacks.
Collaborate on incident response plans and documentation.
Participate in on-call rotation.
