Job summary

Stanford University’s Department of Dermatology seeks an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator Associate (CRCA) to coordinate moderately complex aspects of clinical studies. The CRCA will work under the PI and clinical research manager across Redwood City and Palo Alto sites, supporting dermatological and investigative trials.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years of relevant experience, and strong regulatory knowledge (HIPAA/FDA/IRB).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a medical or scientific field.
• Three years of clinical research experience preferred.
• Experience with research protocols and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FDA, IRB).
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact with research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies; coordinate studies from start-up through closeout.
• Determine eligibility and obtain consent; assist in recruitment strategies.
• Coordinate collection of study specimens and processing.
• Collect and manage patient and lab data; maintain study databases and regulatory documents.
• Ensure compliance with protocols; prepare regulatory submissions and IRB renewals.
• Assemble study kits, monitor scheduling, and attend sponsor meetings.
• Monitor expenditures and adherence to budgets; collaborate with finance.
• Interact with principal investigator to ensure patient safety and proper conduct.
• Document data according to regulatory requirements; participate in monitor visits and audits.
