Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking an Entry-Level Gas Distribution Engineer to support planning, design, and execution of natural gas infrastructure projects in a hybrid Denver, Colorado role. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and vendors to ensure safe, compliant project delivery.

The position reports to the Engineering Supervisor and involves a six-person engineering team and an eight-person project management team, focusing on design, documentation, and cost estimation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or a similar CAD platform.
• Microsoft Experience

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and execution of gas infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and project documentation.
• Develop project tracking reports and status updates.
• Maintain service spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and engineering calculations.
• Research and verify existing asset and system information.
• Help with cost estimating and project scoping activities.
• Prepare operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Support Stage Gate and project approval processes.
• Participate in project team meetings, training sessions, and coordination meetings.
• Provide engineering support during construction and field activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety requirements, and company standards.
