Job summary

Ibotta is seeking a Data Scientist, Strategic Partner Analytics to join our Publisher Insights team in Denver. You will own uplift models end-to-end for weekly retention incentives, from data prep to model development, deployment, and monitoring.

You will work with analytics engineers, data engineers, and Marketing partners to prepare data and share insights, balancing business goals with model performance while upholding Ibotta’s values.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive experience in data science, ML, statistics or data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Math/Stats/Data Science/Economics or similar; advanced degree preferred.
• Deep Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL skills; Spark/PySpark a plus.
• Hands-on experience building and evaluating ML/statistical models (GBMs, neural nets).
• Experience deploying or maintaining models in production; Git & orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Build, retrain, and tune uplift models for weekly retention programs.
• Own models in production: feature pipelines, deployments, monitoring for drift.
• Manage weekly model operations: adjust parameters to stay on budget & within thresholds.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and holdouts for bonus performance.
• Report model performance and business impact to Marketing; explain results to non-technical audiences.
• Analyze large datasets to find insights that improve models and marketing programs.
• Collaborate with analytics/data engineers and Marketing partners to prepare data.
