Job summary

Washington Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board is seeking a Data Scientist to design statewide research projects and drive performance management, program evaluation, and survey design. You will lead data sharing agreements, present findings to executive leadership, and collaborate across agencies to improve data integration and policy impact.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of combined education and/or experience in social science research.
• Two (2) years using statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, STATA, or R.
• One (1) year using relational databases like Access, Oracle, or SQL.
• Demonstrated leadership in team and project management.
• Experience with linear and logistic regression analyses.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute statewide research projects informing policymaking.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams and lead economic/statistical research.
• Translate analyses into strategic findings for executives and boards.
• Develop statistical procedures and ensure data compliance with regulations.
• Lead research teams from execution to presentation.
• Create data visualizations and present results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage agency DSAs and coordinate data sharing with partners.
• Represent the agency in cross-agency data integration workgroups.
