Résumé du poste

Harvard University is seeking a data-focused professional to plan, design, implement, and analyze data-driven projects such as Pulse Survey in collaboration with the Office of Culture and Community Engagement (OCCE) and other Harvard offices.

The role involves working with HMS and university data groups to establish monitoring measures, create reporting templates, and translate data issues into technical specifications, while building user-friendly databases and documenting processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of post secondary education or relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, data analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to write clearly for a broad audience and explain technical analysis to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to visualize data and communicate complex data most effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating closely with others.
  • Experience working with data and metrics.

Responsabilités

  • Work with OCCE and other Harvard University offices in planning, designing, implementing, and analyzing data-driven projects such as the Pulse Survey.
  • Collaborate with HMS and Harvard University data working groups related to policies, practices, and programs, with a focus on establishing monitoring and accountability measures/metrics designed to progressively chart implementation activities and results produced over time.
  • Work internally with OCCE to create, pilot, and support metric-based data reporting templates through which the evidence and impact of its programmatic interventions can be demonstrated. Conceptually, templates will feature multiple-level system thinking.
  • Collaborate with HMS data-related groups to resolve conceptual, technical and operational issues related to databases.
  • Translate identified data problems into well-defined technical specifications and leverage workable elements as growth opportunities.
  • Design and build user-friendly database solutions and instrumentation.
  • Lead and manage the development of program-related-data capture and databases that include 1) multiple data sources, 2) mixed-methods data, and 3) data elements that represent the multidimensionality of the OCCE charge and mission.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Technical Notes that document process and procedures undertaken to complete all assigned tasks.
