Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Data Scientist – Agentic AI to design and operationalize core agentic workflows powering Marvis, its generative AI assistant for network operations. You will build reasoning pipelines, tool-calling patterns, and MCP integrations in a cloud-native environment.

The role blends data science, GenAI, and production engineering with a focus on reliability, observability, and scalable AI systems. Remote/hybrid options exist with office days required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative discipline.
• Typically 4–7 years of experience building production ML/AI systems with generative AI and LLM-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Design agentic workflows using LangGraph, including ReACT loops and dynamic tool binding.
• Develop and maintain MCP servers and skills with tool schemas and playbooks.
• Integrate LLM capabilities at production scale with structured outputs and error handling.
• Build retrieval/memory services and RAG pipelines for agentic systems.
• Design evaluation frameworks and run A/B tests on skills and tool configurations.
• Collaborate with network engineers and product managers to formalize problems as agentic workflows.
• Develop data transformation logic in sandboxed execution environments and orchestration scripts.
• Deploy containerized services in Kubernetes and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
