Job summary

Emergent Software is seeking a Data Engineer for a hybrid role based in Iowa City, IA. The role focuses on building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, and delivering reliable datasets for reporting and analytics.

You will design and maintain data infrastructure, automate manual tasks, monitor pipelines, and troubleshoot data quality, schema, and workflow issues while collaborating with business stakeholders to meet data requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting production data pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing.
• Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support reporting and analytics.
• Integrate data from ERP, manufacturing, and other systems into centralized platforms.
• Build scalable data workflows across extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Develop and maintain data models, testing frameworks, and documentation.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data quality, schema, and workflow issues.

• Automate manual processes to improve data delivery efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and reliability across systems.
