Job summary

MEMX is seeking a Data Center Operations Intern for Summer 2027 in a hybrid role with NYC and North Bergen, NJ locations. You will gain hands-on experience with servers, network equipment, and data center operations while learning how reliable technology supports financial markets.

The program emphasizes mentorship, training, and exposure to how data center, networking, and engineering teams collaborate to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in IT/CS/Engineering entering junior or senior year.
• Interest in hardware, networking and hands-on technology problem-solving.
• Basic familiarity with computer systems; Linux, networking, or hardware projects preferred.
• Available to work in person at Midtown Manhattan during summer and reside in MEMX-approved remote states.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servers and network equipment under the team’s guidance
• Help run and organize cables within the data center
• Support equipment inventory and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting
• Participate in infrastructure projects and learn how the team keeps our systems running reliably
