Job summary

Mantech in Ashburn, VA seeks a junior data analyst to join our team in a part-time hybrid role with 2-3 days on-site per week. You will help support CBP data initiatives by maintaining dashboards and performing data validation under senior guidance.

Responsibilities include documenting data sources, collaborating with analysts and architects, and assisting in ad-hoc requests while developing proficiency in agency data tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• AS/BS/MS with relevant data analytics coursework or internship.
• Strong SQL knowledge; Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUPs required.
• Basic scripting in Python or R.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Able to follow technical instructions and communicate progress clearly.
• Proactive in learning new data tools and agency data protocols.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain existing dashboards and generate recurring reports under guidance of senior analysts.
• Perform basic data validation and cleaning to ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Document data sources, query logic, and reporting processes for knowledge sharing.
• Identify and evaluate large volumes of sensitive CBP data relevant to initiatives.
• Collaborate with intel analysts, architects, data scientists, and stakeholders.
• Support ad-hoc requests and participate in training to build proficiency in agency data tools.
