Job summary

Jaster Engineering Technology (JET) Systems, based in the United States, seeks an entry-level Cybersecurity and Systems Support Analyst. The role blends cybersecurity, information technology, system administration, and compliance, offering exposure to diverse IT tasks under supervision.

Candidates must be prepared to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and be able to work in a hybrid environment in St. Mary’s County/NAS Pax River area, with onsite reporting as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
• Foundational understanding of information technology infrastructure, including networks, endpoints, operating systems, user administration, and basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day cybersecurity and information technology activities under the direction of senior technical staff.
• Assist with the administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of networks, endpoints, operating systems, user accounts, and related information technology infrastructure.
• Support user administration activities, including account creation, access changes, permissions review, password resets, and account deactivation in accordance with established procedures.
• Apply foundational cybersecurity practices involving access control, least privilege, secure configuration, patching, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and network security.
• Assist with system and network monitoring, log review, vulnerability scans, security alerts, and the identification or escalation of unusual activity.
