Job summary

Aon is seeking a skilled internal communications professional to lead cybersecurity awareness campaigns from Chicago, IL. This hybrid role partners with Global Cybersecurity Services, communications stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex cyber risk into clear, actionable messages across channels.

You’ll drive awareness initiatives, manage multiple audiences, and leverage AI tools to boost engagement. Salary range $80,000-$90,000 with bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant strategic communication experience, with an emphasis on internal, cyber, or technology communications.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts simply and visually.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, tailoring content for multiple audiences.
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to handle both strategic and tactical work.
• Strong project management skills with speed, accuracy and efficiency.
• Fluency in AI for communications.
• Flexibility to work outside standard office hours for global coordination.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cybersecurity SMEs to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable communications.
• Plan and execute cybersecurity awareness campaigns, including Cybersecurity Awareness Month and phishing awareness initiatives.
• Create colleague communications across email, intranet, Viva Engage, newsletters, presentations, and leader messaging.
• Participate in cybersecurity intelligence sharing meetings to support reactive and proactive communications.
• Translate cybersecurity priorities across Aon’s global footprint for stakeholder audiences.
• Coordinate messaging across stakeholder groups for consistency and alignment.
• Develop messaging templates and materials for incident and crisis communications.
• Maintain intranet materials aligned with campaigns and translation processes.
• Measure campaign engagement and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing & Communications teams.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity, content creation, and audience insights.
